Repair, refurbishment and remanufacturing would seem to be different from other processes, especially with the perception that the work content varies so much. In fact, the same improvement approach applies…determine what adds value, and remove, improve and reorganize everything else so that the overall system cost is lower. Quality, lead time and cost are important to ensure that the customer gets what they need and you’re able to plan your internal process effectively.
