Production situations with a high variety of product types are easily accommodated within a continuous improvement or TPS framework. By using a B Type production scheduling system, you can structure the production of different options according to a given production sequence, but only pulling options when they are needed. No need to store multiple options in inventory…just pull and produce the next type/variety in sequence!
