[Many apologies…it has been a while since I posted a new blog!]
Sometimes, a little humour goes a long way!
I received this excellent poem from a leader that I have been learning with (along with the rest of the True North Thinking Inc. team). This is how she imagined a conversation / collaboration would go between Dr. Suess and myself.
One equals one,
But what if there are many things to be done?
One still equals one,
But multiplication can be fun
So if one equals one, and there are 3 things to do
We better have three people, so each one can do less than two
But still there are so many obstacles on our path
So what used to take a week, needs to take half
But how do we know, which one to do first?
What’s red should tell us which condition is worst
Is a quick win, PDCA, or problem-solving best?
Well surely you already know, the answer is Yes.
How can we tell, if we’re doing what we say
There needs to be process confirmation, every single day
When does a plan become action, and where does the follow up go?
It should be on our boards, it should clearly show
Really, it’s simple – please don’t over complicate
One equals one, so just do and be great.
Don’t mind saying that it really made my day! 🙂
